chanced upon the above post and i was unpleasantly amused by it. i can understand if the user is charged pending the WLAN's owner disapproval for others to use it. However, in this case, the "WLAN owner even said he left it open on purpose". it seems, the pervasive nature of IT is leading a law revolution of its own.
